The signing record, and how to verify a signed document

What's recorded with each signature, and how anyone can check a signed copy.

Updated November 7, 2026

Every signed document comes with a signing record, so you can show who signed and when.

What the signing record includes

For each signature: the signer's name, email, the time, their IP address, their device and an approximate location. The record is attached to the signed copy.

Verify a signed document

Signed PDFs carry a certificate with a verification address, mydocuploads.com/verify. Anyone holding the signed copy can use it to check the document.

That address keeps working permanently, so a signed copy can be checked years later.
