Send a document for signature
Upload a PDF, place signature fields and send it to up to 5 people to sign.
Send a PDF for signature in three steps: add the document and recipients, place the fields, then review and send.
Start a new document
- In the left sidebar, select Signatures, then New document.
- Choose the kind of document:
- Agreement: send one PDF to up to 5 named recipients. Everyone signs the same document and gets the final copy.
- Document (public link): share one link with anyone. Each person signs and gets their own copy, which suits consent forms.
Step 1: Document & recipients
- Enter a Document title, and optionally an Expiration date.
- Drag a PDF onto the page, or select Browse files.
- For an agreement, enter each recipient's first name, last name and email. Select Add recipient for more people.
- Select Continue to field placement.
Step 2: Place fields
- Drag a field onto the document, or click a field and then click where it should go. Fields include Signature, Initials, Full name, Date signed, Text, Checkbox and more.
- For an agreement, choose which recipient each field belongs to.
- Click a field on the document to change its label, size, or whether it's required.
- Select Save & continue.
Step 3: Review & publish
- Optional: add a message to the invitation email.
- Select Publish & send invitations (or Publish document for a public link).
You can follow progress from the Signatures page. When everyone has signed, each person gets the completed copy.
