Seats, workspaces and plan limits explained

Who needs a seat, what counts as a workspace, and how monthly allowances work.

Updated November 7, 2026

Seats

A seat is for each person on your own team who signs in. Anyone who logs in with an account uses a seat, including someone who can only view.

Clients, patients, signers and people filling in forms don't need an account, so they never use a seat. They work through links.

Client workspaces

Your plan sets how many active client workspaces you can have.

  • Your personal workspace counts toward the limit.
  • Archived workspaces don't count, so archive clients when the work is done.

Monthly allowances

Some features have a monthly allowance on each plan, such as signature requests and form submissions. Allowances reset every month. A form submission never uses up a signature request.

Every module on every plan

Every plan includes Core, Conversations, Secure Drop, Sign and Flow. Plans differ by capacity, not by features. See Pricing for each plan's numbers.
